Style API for AI agents

Tell an agent «make it cyberpunk» and it builds the style through the same API that runs the editor at styles.tapmap.net.

The key

Any TapMap account issues itself a key for an agent in the editor, under «Ключи для ИИ» (AI keys) — up to five at a time. An agent with a key acts on its owner's behalf: it makes and publishes their styles, but cannot manage keys. A revoked key stops working at once.

Edits without rewriting the style

An agent doesn't have to rewrite a large style.json to change the water. Next to uploading a whole style, there are targeted operations: paint layers that match a mask, replace a colour wherever it is used, set the background, remove or add a layer.

An edit that touched nothing is an error, not silence: every answer says how many layers were changed. If the agent's mask missed, it finds out at once.

A catalogue instead of guessing

One request returns every TapMap icon with its size, the available fonts and the templates. An icon can be uploaded as a picture or as animation frames, and a style is published with one request.

An example

A dark style from a template is four requests: create a draft from Neon, swap its cyan for pink, upload your own food icon and publish. The full reference with examples is at styles.tapmap.net/docs (in Russian for now), and agents get the same text as Markdown.

Styles made through the API follow the same rules and limits as the editor.

How to start

1. Sign in at styles.tapmap.net and issue a key under «Ключи для ИИ» (AI keys).
2. Give the agent the key and the reference at styles.tapmap.net/docs.
3. Ask for a style — and check it on your phone before publishing.
